of illustrated recipes and traditional food
from our beautiful country.
I was born in 1985 in Foligno, near Perugia, Italy.
I started doodling/scribbling when I was about 3 years old
I started doodling/scribbling when I was about 3 years old
but when the time came to think about university
I opted for Architecture.
It probably wasn't the wisest choice though -
after completing my BA I dropped it to go back to the good old scribbling block and pencil.
To be honest with you, saying bye to designing eco-friendly skyscrapers was probably the best thing I’ve ever done.
Or perhaps the best thing I have ever done was enrolling at
the International School of Comics in Rome, where,
as well as developing my sense of humour, I learnt that scribbling and doodling can pay the bills too!
It’s been two years now since I left Rome and I haven’t given up on being a professional illustrator just yet – actually the idea becomes
more and more appealing every day.
I have always loved anything related to drawing, graphics and animation in general. I have been trying to turn this passion
into a real job for a while now, maybe I haven’t succeeded yet
but I am definitely getting there.
The best day of my life was when I dropped out of Architecture school and started a new life as illustrator and freelancer graphic designer - my artistic world was opened up.
I would love to fund my own design and graphics studio and also work with animation and handcrafted printing.
I wouldn’t mind travelling a bit though and maybe who knows, grow my own organic vegetables in my back garden.
What I cannot live without: graphic tablet, my son Mac, Wi-Fi
and bananas.
